BLAUE FRAU IS HIRING is an investigative performance about the structure and organization of the job market in Finland. In the form of a speculative documentary and through the use of case studies, we bring to life the complex system that is everyday reality for over 340 000 job seekers in our country (March 2026). Blaue Frau is hiring is an enlightening, entertaining, and thought-provoking theater experience that raises questions about wage labor – what is the point of it? What would life be like without it? And what happens to those who don’t get the chance to do it?
